Dubai// A drunk man allegedly kissed a three-year-old boy on the lips while the child was at Jumeirah beach with his nanny, a court was told.
Filipina RS told prosecutors that she was at the beach on April 1 this year when Sri Lankan MW, 49, approached her.
“He reeked of alcohol. He told the little boy to come and he kissed him on the mouth for three seconds” said the 40-year-old.
RS prosecutors that she was outraged and asked MW, who is unemployed, why he had kissed the boy, whose nationality was not mentioned in court records.
“He told me that it was not my business, he then called me a f****** Filipino,” she said.
The nanny said the way MW kissed the boy was not normal. “The man sucked on the boy’s lips.”
Filipina AJ, 48, told prosecutors she was at the beach with RS. “While the boy was playing on the beach, the defendant knelt down and kissed the boy and gave him a rose, then he swore at RS.”
RS reported MW to the police.
Emirati police officer AA, 30, told prosecutors he arrested MW.
“He admitted to kissing the boy and told us that the kiss was innocent and that no ill will was intended.”
At Dubai Criminal Court MW denied molesting the child and told the court he was too drunk to remember what had happened.
A verdict is expected on July 9.
