Two goals from Eden Hazard and one by Alvaro Morata earned Chelsea a workmanlike 3-1 victory over Newcastle United on Saturday. Dwight Gayle gave Rafa Benitez's Newcastle side a surprise lead, rattling his shot home in the 12th minute after Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois had dived at the feet of the advancing Jacob Murphy. But Chelsea, third in the table, quickly fought back, earning two corners and hitting the post before Hazard got on the end of a ball parried by defender Florian Lejeune in the 21st minute. Spain striker Morata's simple header from a Victor Moses cross, his 10th in all competitions this season, made it 2-1 for the home side at halftime and Hazard scored his eighth of the campaign from the penalty spot after Matt Ritchie brought down Moses.

Roberto Firmino scored twice as Liverpool continued their recent fine run with a 5-1 win away to Brighton and Hove Albion. Emre Can and Philippe Coutinho were also on target for the visitors at the Amex Stadium before a late own-goal from Lewis Dunk took Liverpool's tally to 25 goals from their last eight games. Glenn Murray's penalty gave Brighton hope at 3-1, but the outcome of this game was never truly in doubt. Liverpool are beginning to develop impressive momentum and have now collected 16 points from their last six league games. Jurgen Klopp's men no longer look as vulnerable as they did earlier in the season. For Brighton this was a painful defeat - their first at home since the opening day - and manager Chris Hughton will be anxious for his players to put this loss behind them after an otherwise impressive start to the season.

Sam Allardyce's reign at Everton kicked off in winning fashion as goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin earned them a 2-0 win over struggling Huddersfield Town. After being given a warm welcome from the home fans, Allardyce took his seat, hoping to see further signs of Everton's rejuvenation following their crushing 4-0 defeat of West Ham United in midweek. Instead, the former England manager witnessed only dire fare in the first half with his side looking flat until, two minutes after the break, a clever flick from Calvert-Lewin freed Sigurdsson to fire home expertly from 10 metres. Calvert-Lewin struck in the 73rd minute, his seventh goal of thee season coming with a left-foot shot that took a cruel deflection off Mathias Jorgensen and into the net to consign Huddersfield to a fourth consecutive defeat.

Leicester: Gray (6')
Demarai Gray's sixth-minute goal gave Leicester City a 1-0 win over Burnley. Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope could only push out Riyad Mahrez's low effort straight to Gray who made no mistake from close range. Burnley, who had won four of their last five matches, responded strongly, though, with Robbie Brady running at the Leicester defence and whipping in a series of dangerous corners. But the Irish winger had to be stretchered off in the 31st minute after going down in a challenge with Leicester defender Harry Maguire.

Swansea: Bony (3')
Stoke City produced a stunning first-half comeback to beat Swansea City 2-1, a result that eased the pressure on manager Mark Hughes and sent the Welsh side to the bottom of the table. Swansea started brightly, taking the lead with a third-minute volley from Wilfried Bony against his former club. It was Bony's first strike for Swansea in nearly two years and ended their seven-hour goal drought. Swansea's hopes of a first league win at Stoke for 16 years failed to survive the first half as Xherdan Shaqiri, who swooped on a Joe Allen through ball, and a superb back-post volley from Mame Biram Diouf turned around the game in four minutes.

Tottenham Hotspur's patchy away form continued with a 1-1 draw at Watford but the North London club will be pleased with a point after playing much of the second half with 10 men. Spurs had centre back Davinson Sanchez sent off in the 52nd minute for elbowing in the face winger Richarlison, whose darting runs down the left flank caused problems for the visitors all afternoon. One such raid resulted in a Tom Cleverley corner which defender Christian Kabasele headed home superbly to give Watford a 13th-minute lead, before Son Heung-min levelled with a simple close-range tap-in after Christian Eriksen's fine low cross. The visitors were on the back foot after Sanchez was shown a straight red card and they came close to falling behind again several minutes later, as Abdoulaye Doucoure hit the post with a screaming shot from 25 metres.

West Bromwich Albion 0 Crystal Palace 0
Alan Pardew maintained his record of never losing his first Premier League game in charge of a club as his West Brom team were held to a 0-0 draw at home against Crystal Palace. Christian Benteke carved out Palace's best chance deep in the first half, dribbling through several West Brom defenders before being denied a first goal of the season by Ben Foster's smart save. Jay Rodriguez went close for West Brom after the break but Julian Speroni, making his 398th appearance in goal for Palace after Wayne Hennessey injured his back in the warm up, spread himself well to deny the forward from close range. Palace survived several West Brom chances late on, including a Salomon Rondon header that went just wide, and have now gone four games unbeaten to move off the bottom of the table, above Swansea City and West Ham United, who are at leaders Manchester City on Sunday.

Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, is one of Bollywood’s most legendary screenwriters. Through his partnership with co-writer Javed Akhtar, Salim is credited with having paved the path for the Indian film industry’s blockbuster format in the 1970s. Something his son now rules the roost of. More importantly, the Salim-Javed duo also created the persona of the “angry young man” for Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan in the 1970s, reflecting the angst of the average Indian. You can donate to several registered charities through a “donation catalogue”. The use of the donation is quite specific, such as buying a fan for a poor family in Niger for Dh130.
The General Authority of Islamic Affairs & Endowments
The site has an e-donation service accepting debit card, credit card or e-Dirham, an electronic payment tool developed by the Ministry of Finance and First Abu Dhabi Bank.
Al Noor Special Needs Centre
You can donate online or order Smiles n’ Stuff products handcrafted by Al Noor students. The centre publishes a wish list of extras needed, starting at Dh500.
Beit Al Khair Society
Beit Al Khair Society has the motto “From – and to – the UAE,” with donations going towards the neediest in the country. Its website has a list of physical donation sites, but people can also contribute money by SMS, bank transfer and through the hotline 800-22554.
Dar Al Ber Society
Dar Al Ber Society, which has charity projects in 39 countries, accept cash payments, money transfers or SMS donations. Its donation hotline is 800-79.
Dubai Cares
Dubai Cares provides several options for individuals and companies to donate, including online, through banks, at retail outlets, via phone and by purchasing Dubai Cares branded merchandise. It is currently running a campaign called Bookings 2030, which allows people to help change the future of six underprivileged children and young people.
Emirates Airline Foundation
Those who travel on Emirates have undoubtedly seen the little donation envelopes in the seat pockets. But the foundation also accepts donations online and in the form of Skywards Miles. Donated miles are used to sponsor travel for doctors, surgeons, engineers and other professionals volunteering on humanitarian missions around the world.
Emirates Red Crescent
On the Emirates Red Crescent website you can choose between 35 different purposes for your donation, such as providing food for fasters, supporting debtors and contributing to a refugee women fund. It also has a list of bank accounts for each donation type.
Gulf for Good
Gulf for Good raises funds for partner charity projects through challenges, like climbing Kilimanjaro and cycling through Thailand. This year’s projects are in partnership with Street Child Nepal, Larchfield Kids, the Foundation for African Empowerment and SOS Children's Villages. Since 2001, the organisation has raised more than $3.5 million (Dh12.8m) in support of over 50 children’s charities.
Noor Dubai Foundation
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched the Noor Dubai Foundation a decade ago with the aim of eliminating all forms of preventable blindness globally. You can donate Dh50 to support mobile eye camps by texting the word “Noor” to 4565 (Etisalat) or 4849 (du).
