DUBAI // Emirates Islamic bank contributed Dh200,000 to the Big Heart Foundation to support refugees.
The bank said this reflects its commitment to supporting humanitarian causes and providing assistance to the displaced, Wam, the state news agency, said.
“The noble cause adopted by the cultural office of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah is very effective as it continues to provide a vital means of support to our displaced brothers and helps relieve their suffering,” said Awatif Al Harmoodi, Emirates Islamic’s general manager operational quality and processes.
The Big Heart Foundation was launched by Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, in response to the global refugee crisis.
