DUBAI // Tom Cruise dangled from the top of the Burj Khalifa on Friday, as filming in Dubai for the spy thriller Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol entered its second week.
The Hollywood star was sighted swinging from the world's tallest tower several times last week, and even dropped down to the 124th floor observation tower in a surprise visit to tourists.
On Friday morning, near the top of the 828 metre-high skyscraper, he swung back and forth and ran horizontally across the windows. A helicopter hovered near the building for several minutes.
On the ground below, in a private outdoor area, ambulances and film equipment vans stood by. On a public street on the other side of the tower, security guards shooed passersby away and warned them against taking photos.
Filming in Dubai is set to continue till the end of November. It is for the fourth instalment of the blockbuster series, in which Cruise plays American agent Ethan Hunt.

Ms Danial is a finance coach and former currency analyst who writes for Nasdaq. Her broad-strokes primer (2019) breaks down investing in cryptocurrency into baby steps, while explaining the terms and technologies involved.
Although cryptocurrencies are a fast evolving world, this book offers a good insight into the game as well as providing some basic tips, strategies and warning signs.

The drill

The EU-UAE bilateral trade deal will be finalised soon, he said. It is in everyone’s interests to do so. Both sides want to move quickly and are in alignment.
