ABU DHABI // Residents will not be issued a fine when they park along the yellow and grey kerbs in some areas of the capital where construction work is ongoing.

However, priority will be given to resident parking permit holders, a Mawaqif customer service staff said on Sunday.

“It is on a case-to-case basis and depends on the sector,” the staff said. “For example, drivers are allowed to park in the yellow and grey kerbs in the area behind Prestige Cars showroom on Khalidiyah street until today. From tomorrow, they will not be allowed to park there anymore.”

In most cases, parking for any vehicle is not allowed at yellow and grey kerbs.

One of these areas include the Al Masaood Automobiles showroom across the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank on Najda street.
